In short, if you work in front of a computer: almost certainly yes.
The universal nature of problems faced by knowledge workers means that, regardless of what makes your company different, it's (a) still hard to keep track of who is doing what by when, and (b) requires the same things to fix it.
The only thing that might prevent us from being able to work together is if I'm fully booked with existing clients.
Yes, as long as you understand the tradeoffs either way.
Small teams tend to get better results faster as less people means less overall change is required. The downside is that it's more expensive on a per-employee basis.
Large orgs/teams will find it much easier to afford due to their economies of scale, thus the comparatively lower cost-per-employee. However, they will have to work much harder to overcome the established legacy systems and change the deeply engrained cultural norms.
I tend to find the ideal team size is between 20-50 people. That might be your entire company, or it might be a single department within your large corporation.
I've worked both with solopreneurs and teams within huge unicorn corporations. If you'd like to discuss if I'm the right fit for your team, please book a call so we can discuss it in more detail.
No. In fact, it might even be easier for you to adopt then existing Asana-using organisations, since your team haven't yet accrued any technical debt, created clutter, fallen into bad habits, or developed any negative associations.
Because of this, you have the chance to get off to a running start without needing to simultaneously address any prior points of friction.
How long is a piece of string?
It's a tough question to answer because it depends on so many things. Grasping the basics of Asana and the intellectual logic of day-to-day task management and team communication is rather straightforward. You should expect everybody to have that within the first sprint.
However, knowledge isn't the challenge. Nor is building systems. At the end of the day, it's human beings that need to apply that knowledge, and use those systems effectively and efficiently.
Learning new skills, frameworks, and systems takes time. As with all new things, there are obstacles to overcome, habits to build, mindsets to adopt. All of this puts people outside of their comfort zone; and human beings don't like to be uncomfortable!
For that reason, I would recommend that you aim to invest in this process for at least 3-6 months to see the kind of radical, lasting change that you read about in my testimonials. That said, you should see a noticeable change after every sprint. The only way you would ever get to 6 months is if you'd already been satisfied enough with our progress 5 times prior to that to decide to keep going.
Yes!
Technically, there's nothing to cancel; since there is no contractual obligation to keep working with me every month.
I love my work, I love my clients, and my time is extremely limited, so I'd rather only work with you if you actually want to work with me, too; (i.e. because we get along well and the ROI speaks for itself).
That means that for any reason, if you need to scale back, hit pause, or cease for good, that's your prerogative.
The only stipulation I make is that I always invoice in advance of each 3-week sprint, so that the payment is due just after we finish it. This means that I don't go unpaid for any time that I have reserved in my calendar exclusively for your team.
Then we'll adapt! One of the main reasons this programme is built to be so flexible is the understanding the only constant is change.
Team members will leave and others will join. Mindsets and culture will change with them. Markets change. Priorities change. Emergencies and crises happen.
Practically speaking, you may wish to increase the scope to get more done faster; or you may wish to decrease the scope to save on costs; or you may need to hit pause entirely while you get through your busiest month of the year. Perhaps at some point you might need to shift priorities to focus on a major new opportunity, or overcome the loss of a key member of the team.
No matter what the universe throws at you, don't worry. We can (and will) adapt.
I'm afraid the short answer is no.The long answer is nooooooooo!
Joking aside, think of the programme as you would a retainer with a digital agency. Just as marketing and sales are never finished, neither is creating a calm, kind, and friction-free working environment. You need to working on it with consistency over time.
There are always improvements to make, and priorities are always changing; it's a big part of why I choose to work in short, iterative sprints. It's more flexible, adaptable, and predictable.
It's an infinite game; but that doesn't mean you'll need me forever. My job is to make change happen while instilling the systems, culture, and governance for you and your team to self-sustain without me. Remember, once per month get to choose if you'd like to keep going, scale up, scale down, or stop entirely. It's your call.
It's an "it depends" answer again, I'm afraid!
Simply put, as a consultant, I sell time. The more time you'd like from me, the more it costs, and vice versa.
If results are most important to you, I can spend more time with your team. If keeping costs down is most important to you, I can spend less time and work with them in groups, set more homework, and link them to the relevant self-serve resources.
Ultimately, you should expect to invest somewhere between £5,000 - £10,000 per sprint; depending on various factors like needs, support, speed, budget, etc. If by the end of the first sprint you don't agree that it's a worthwhile investment, there's no obligation to continue working with me.
If this is outside of your price range, I would recommend my general Asana training & consultancy package as it's a more affordable way to get started.
The first question to ask is "expensive by what measure?" If you reduce everything down to a simple hourly rate, then yes I charge more than most others in this field. However, if you care about getting better results, faster and more reliably, then the improvement in team utilisation, quality of work, and working culture should easily pay for itself ten times over.
In our family, we have a motto: "Buy cheap, buy twice. Buy quality. Buy nice. Sort by highest price."
My goal isn't to create the most affordable programme. It's to create the best. My aim is to solve the most widespread and pernicious problems that have plagued knowledge workers for decades. To do this requires considerable time to think, research, develop and test new things; and I can't do this if I spend all my time delivering. Each hour that you work with me equates to more than 2 hours of my time when you factor in the additional admin, coordination, research, and development of supporting resources for your and your team.
If you're still not convinced, try out my ROI calculator and see the numbers for yourself.
